Michael Fay was born in Vicenza, Italy but grew up in Moreno Valley in Southern California. He majored in Forestry Management and Enology at University of Washington and Cal Poly SLO. Michael became interested in wine while bartending in Seattle and later while traveling in Europe. "I love the food, art and wine in Italy and the food, beer and wine in Germany."
As the assistant winemaker, Michael spends time in both the vineyard and the cellar. "I help maintain the integrity of our fruit through properly timed cellar operations and careful handling of wine. Our goal is to produce wines that showcase our Cambria Estate Vineyard."
Michael lives in Santa Maria. His hobbies include reading, playing soccer and traveling.
